Welcome to Brentford Arts Works
We advocated for the Save Our Watermans campaign, an initiative aimed at preserving the arts centre at 40, High Street. Since the closure of the arts centre, Brentford Arts Works is striving to reopen the centre as a hub for diverse artistic expression and cultural gatherings. We envisage 40, High Street as the living room of our community where everyone is welcome to share their creative vision.
Our Beliefs:
- Art is Essential: Art enriches lives, sparks dialogue, and brings people together. We will celebrate this every day and contrive to keep this spirit alive.
- Community Strength: Our strength lies in our collective spirit. Each individual’s participation and voice will contribute to the vibrancy of the art world.
- Innovation Through Tradition: We respect our cultural roots while always looking to innovate, ensuring that 40, High Street will be relevant and responsive to the needs of artists and audiences.
Our Commitments:
- Active Engagement: We are dedicated to reaching out and involving every part of our community, using every platform available to underline the importance of a thriving centre.
- Transparency and Trust: We are committed to being open about our goals and how we intend to use the resources by building trust and accountability.
- Focus on Sustainability: We aim not just to keep the doors open but to expand and evolve, making 40, High Street art centre a sustainable, vibrant place that continues to serve and inspire our community.
Our Call to Action: We need you—artists, art lovers, and community members. Your participation, whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, is essential. Let’s work together to ensure that the centre will once again become a lively space for creativity and connection.
Let us rekindle and keep the heart of our community beating strong. Thank you for your continued and invaluable support.
